High-strength stainless steel screws

With our in-house wire drawing facility, we are able to manufacture stainless steel fasteners beyond the usual strength values such as A2/A4-70. We offer corrosion-resistant stainless steel fasteners and cold-formed parts in combination with higher strength such as A2/A4-80 or higher and vacuum heat-treated stainless steel fasteners such as C1-110 as well as heat-treated to customer specifications.

Any standard or customized fasteners or cold-formed components can be produced in this way and meet our customers’ requirements.

Our technical team always offers you the best solution, both in terms of cost and design as well as mechanical properties such as tensile strength and tightening torque.

Properties and application

Stainless steel screws are characterized by their high corrosion resistance and durability. They are insensitive to moisture, many chemicals and changing weather conditions, which makes them particularly suitable for use outdoors, in the food industry or in mechanical engineering. Stainless steel screws retain their strength over long periods of time and require little maintenance. Thanks to their combination of stability and elegant appearance, they are also used in visible areas, for example in furniture or façade construction. Their versatility makes them a reliable solution for a wide range of technical and design applications.

Screws head

The head of a stainless steel screw determines how the screw is processed and the hold it provides. Classic hexagonal and cylindrical heads ensure high force transmission, while countersunk heads enable flush countersinking into the surface. Pan-head or half-round heads are often used when both function and appearance are important. With stainless steel screws, the head is not only dimensionally stable and precisely manufactured, but also resistant to wear and corrosion. This ensures that the screw works reliably even after repeated tightening and retains a clean appearance.

Thread

The thread of a stainless steel screw ensures a secure and resilient connection. Metric standard threads can be used universally, while fine threads offer advantages for vibrations or precise adjustments. Trapezoidal or round threads are also used in special applications, for example in mechanical engineering. Stainless steel screws made of V2A or V4A stainless steel are characterized by wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant threads that hold reliably even with frequent assembly. If you want to buy stainless steel screws, you should pay attention not only to the head shape and material but also to the right thread in order to obtain the optimum solution for the respective application.

Properties

Head type is often one of the first considerations when designing a fastener. Some of the many head shapes that can be achieved through cold forming technology include countersunk, cylindrical, hammerhead, hexagon and many others.

Special screws with oversized heads are our specialty; these customer-specific parts cannot be produced using conventional cold forming processes.
